VMMS was proud to honor our September Mustangs of the month. Every month, the VMMS staff is able to nominate staff and students from VMMS who exemplify the true character of a Mustang.
Below are the individuals who have been chosen and what others have written about them.
SEPTEMBER MUSTANGS OF THE MONTH:
Grade 6:
Kamila Ebratt Jiminez:
Kamila has shown great effort in her work, she’s kind, she’s attentive, and has a positive, friendly attitude toward everyone.
Grade 7:
Nikki Pari:
Nikki’s kindness towards peers is evident. In two short weeks, Nikki has gone out of her way to welcome three 7th grade students new to our district, taking them under her wing and helping them navigate and transition to VMMS. Nikki radiates positivity that not only uplifts her peers but staff as well! Her ability to foster inclusivity and support others makes her an invaluable member of our school community. I wholeheartedly believe she deserves this recognition for her outstanding character.
Grade 8:
Charley Florio:
Charley is a kind and organized student. Since day one, she has kept a planner outlining all the due dates and upcoming events in school. She shows up everyday with a smile and a willingness to talk to staff and students alike. She is a glimmer of light on our team and makes this school a better place.
Support Staff:
Marilyn Fernandez-Antine:
Marilyn is helpful and incredibly approachable, which makes all of our lives easier. She is professional and works hard every day to keep the front office running smoothly. Despite her heavy workload and endless responsibilities, she is always smiling and lends a positive vibe to our office.
Teacher:
Marissa Schall:
I’m in my second year in middle school after teaching 25 years of high school history. This year I’m teaching a language arts pilot program and she is my cooperating teacher. She is great with the students and has been very helpful in guiding me through the program.
