Campus Life Update
Hello Dragons here is an update about what’s happening on campus here at BTHS. This past week was Spirit Week at BTHS which culminated in Homecoming Weekend. The weekend got off to a great start when the football team coming off last week’s big victory over rival Brick Memorial defeated the Spartans of Ocean Township 24-12 and improved to 4-1 on the season. Tyler Weisneck led the Dragons with 306 yards and 2 touchdowns while adding 11 tackles and a forced fumble on defense. He has been nominated for Shore Sports Network Week 5 Football Player of the week. Football will host Middletown North at 7 PM this Friday night. Also on the sports front the Brick Girls Soccer Team will be hosting their annual Pink Game for Breast Cancer Awareness on October 14h and their Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on October 17th at Point Pleasant Beach. The Girls Soccer team recently held their Senior Night which was successful as they defeated Manasquan by the score of 3-2. Congratulations goes out to the BTHS Band who competed this weekend at Brick Memorial High School, where they took first place in the competition winning best Visual, Music, and Color Guard. This year’s Homecoming Dance took place on Saturday night and was a great night for all who attended. Congratulations go out to Ryan Panuska and Grace Hermance as they were named Homecoming King and Queen and the rest of the Homecoming Court. This upcoming week at BTHS will be the Week of Respect. Every staff member and student has an opportunity to fill out an Act of Kindness slip found in the front hallway outside of Guidance. Drawings will be held each morning during the Week of Respect.
