Unified Sports Hosts Central Regional In Flag Football, Continuing to Celebrate Inclusion to BMHS
Story by Mrs. Nicole Pannucci

It might not be Kickball Season, but the Brick Memorial High School Unified Sports Team is continuing to make change and spread the message of acceptance and love!  On Friday, November 15 the Golden Mustangs hosted both the Central Regional Middle School and High School Unified Teams in a flag football competition.  The air was crisp, the fans were loud, the cheerleaders brought the spirit, and the competition on the field was intense!  It truly was a great day to be a Mustang!  As Brick Memorial Principal Sarluca stated, “The game was an unbelievable display of inclusion, sportsmanship, friendship, and fun!

Unified Sports is a team sponsored by the Special Olympics, joining athletes with and without intellectual and/or physical disabilities on the same team because training together and playing together is a quick path to understanding and everlasting bonds between teammates.

Both teams would like to thank building administrators, faculty, staff, the cheerleaders, and the many, many fans in the stands!  It was a great day to be a Mustang!
