Brick Memorial High School English Language Arts Teacher Mrs. Rebecca Decker has become quite the sensation on TikTok!  With nearly 30,000 followers and an average of 187,000 “likes” per video, she’s clearly taking the “BookTalk” market by storm!

What started out as a little adventure into the world of social media, is now like a second job for the speed-reader!  Mrs. Decker, under the TikTok handle @mrsdeckersbookinit, has been contacted by numerous young adult authors, requesting that she read and review their books on her platform!

The TikTok also got the attention of The Book Love Foundation, run by ELA Teacher Celebrity Penny Kittle.  Mrs. Decker, who is a two-time winner of the Book Love Foundation Grant, will be heading to Ohio this weekend to present at the National Council of Teachers of English in Columbus Ohio!  Among the guests will be ELA teachers from around the country, as well as many YA authors such as Alan Gratz, Tiffany Jackson, and Angie Thomas, along with many others!
