Last night, the parents of our Mustangs entered the halls and classrooms of Brick Memorial High School – in person. In another step towards normalcy, teachers and parents met face-to-face to discuss the upcoming year of the curriculum, classroom practices, and overall engagement planned for the 2021/2022 school year.
The night began with a senior meeting in the auditorium, where senior parents learned about the next steps in their children’s futures, and the evening continued into our traditional night of parents following their children’s schedule in a fast-paced manner, hearing the inspirational words of their teachers, secretly wishing that they were back in high school to experience the exciting lessons teachers have planned for the year.
It was obvious by the smiles occupying the parents’ faces that being back in the building was inspiring to them, knowing that their children are in a place that will continue to educate them, push them, and institute a love of learning.
In our hectic, busy, crazy lives, it’s important to carry on traditions such as Back-To-School Night. Our administrators, faculty, and staff are proud to share our passion for education with the members of the community who entrust their most special treasures into our classrooms. We will continue to keep the promises made last night, that every child will have all the opportunity to succeed here at Brick Memorial High School and adapt the skills needed to succeed on their next journey!
