Brick Memorial High School Hosts Successful Freshmen Orientation
Brick Memorial High School welcomed its newest class of Mustangs (Class of 2028) with a successful Freshmen Orientation on Tuesday, August 27th. With great attendance, the incoming students got a firsthand look at what makes BMHS such a special place to learn and grow.
The day kicked off in the auditorium, where Principal Edward Sarluca and the assistant principals warmly welcomed the students and provided essential information to help them transition smoothly into high school life. Though the experience may have felt overwhelming at times, the students had the opportunity to find their classes, meet their teachers, and learn more about the school environment.
Over 30 dedicated teachers and staff volunteered their morning to assist with the event, guiding students through the hallways and ensuring they felt comfortable and prepared for the year ahead. Freshmen also learned about homeroom procedures, lunch schedules, and the numerous extracurricular activities available, from sports teams to clubs and special interest groups.
A special thank you goes out to Ms. Barbara Stansbury and the Student Government Association for their outstanding efforts in organizing and running the event. Their hard work ensured that the orientation was both informative and welcoming for all attendees.
Parents are also invited to join in this transition with a meeting scheduled tonight at 6:00 pm in the BMHS auditorium. This gathering will provide valuable information and address any questions or concerns parents may have as their children begin this new chapter.
We are excited to see the new freshmen thrive at Brick Memorial High School and look forward to an amazing school year ahead!
