Story by Kye Moraghan ’24
On October 31, 2023, Brick Memorial High School held its annual costume contest. Everyone came into school excited to see who their classmates dressed up as. Teachers spent the day handing out golden tickets to each great costume they saw. By the end of the day, a ton of people had been selected for the contest! The costume contest was held in the auditorium, and the contestants were split into nine groups and judged by four staff members. From funny to frightful, here are the winners in each category.
The categories presented were traditional, funniest, scariest, pop culture, creative/diy, impersonation, homemade, couple, and group. In the traditional category, the Red Riding Hood Costume won. The funniest costume was a maid costume, and the scariest was “Death.” In the pop culture category, Princess Peach was the winner. The most creative costume was the Identity Thief, the best impersonation was Hulk Hogan, and the best homemade costume was a bag of jellybeans. Finally, the best couple/duo costume was the Army Of Darkness and the best group costume was Breaking Bad. Everybody who dressed up looked great and tried their best!
