Story by Stella Daly
Brick and Beyond was an incredible event hosted by both schools’ guidance departments. The event took place this year at Brick Memorial High School on Wednesday, February 15th. People from both sides of town joined together to attend.
Guidance hosted workshops for parents and students to learn about the next steps to take toward college. At the event, a variety of colleges were there for students to learn more about post-high-school opportunities.
If the colleges weren’t enough to interest the students and parents, there was also free food! Food from Chick-Fil-A, Dominos, Surf Taco, Prime, and more was set up and served to all who attended. There were also a variety of local businesses and organizations there with job opportunities to promote their services. One of the highlights of the event though had to be all the clubs present for both schools. Student Government, Drama Club, Mock Trial, and so many more from each school set up displays to show underclassmen and current 8th graders all the after-school activities that are available to them. Both schools are already excited to attend this event in 2024!
