Today, thanks to the leadership of Tracey Reinhard in the BMHS guidance department, Brick Memorial continued its tradition of Career Day. Over thirty visitors spoke to our junior and senior classes about options for their careers. Speakers included police officers, firefighters, comedians, real state agents, and politicians, including our very own Mayor John Ducey.
“We could not have made this day possible without the help of Mike Conti of the Brick Chamber, who was instrumental in reaching out to the community to find presenters,” said Reinhard. She continued, “We also can’t forget our administration and the guidance department for all their help!”
The day went smoothly, as juniors and seniors attended their first two classes for a matter of moments, eagerly awaiting the announcement that would permit them to the auditorium, lecture hall, cafeteria, or whatever room their speaker of interest was in. When Mr. Barresi’s familiar “Gooooooood Morning, Mustangs” was heard, students’ faces beamed with anticipation to continue this tradition of looking past the walls of Brick Memorial High School.
We are so grateful to the men and women who visited us and spoke such encouraging words to the young minds in our classrooms. It was a perfect way to spend the last day before a well-deserved Spring Break!
