Each month, Ms. Barbara Stansbury, advisor of the Student Government Association, sends an email to the faculty and staff. The email simply requests we nominate students for the coveted title of “Student of the Month.” A male and female from each grade level are chosen, and their names are posted on our website, in our hallways, and on our TV announcements!
Students of the Month also receive a certificate and a BMHS travel mug to show off to their friends!
On Tuesday, the administration recognized the “Students of the Month” from semester one with a Pizza Party during lunch. Students were invited to come to the Library where hot pizza was awaiting them. Students got to sit together, hang out, enjoy their success, and be recognized by Mr. Barresi and the assistant principals. Also in attendance were a number of faculty members.
Very often, the “Students Of the Month” are the using heroes of Brick Memorial High School, and it’s important to remind them that they are vital members of our school community. We are grateful for having them in our halls and classrooms!
Good luck to all our students, for perhaps they may find themselves with a travel mug, certificate, and pizza party in the second semester!
