Students in Brick Township continue to work hard toward Haitian relief! As a response to the earthquake centered near the impoverished Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince, Emma Havens Young School Character Education Committee, which educates students on citizenship, responsibility, and caring, responded by collecting donations for the UNICEF Haiti Earthquake Fund. Students placed change in a water bottle in the lunch room. Other students brought in a donation of cash or check from their families. Grade levels, classes, and different hallways challenged each other and as a result we are proud to donate a total of $1,900.00. Emma Havens Students chose to donate with UNICEF because of their long and successful commitment to help children.
